One of the most popular questions asked of peoplekind!
Well, I really want to KNOW!
From BLACK, to cream and sugar....and everything in between! I especially would like to hear about weird stuff-----I mean, what are some of the strangest ways you've taken it? (Listen now, doesn't it sound like I am talking about drugs? WELL folks, caffeine certainly IS a drug! But that's not what this post is about----it's about the combinations of coffee and all the other stuff we like to drink WITH it!
To get us rolling here I will tell you about one of my weirdest combos:
Years ago while living in Albany, New York I remember making up a real nice Molson and Haagen Daz float.......YEP.....TRUE! It actually tasted GOOD! (Shocking, and very difficult to believe, i know...) What does this have to do with COFFEE? Well, after drinking THAT i cwertainly needed a cup of coffee and I rememebr EXACTLY how i had it, too----funny how these memories of weirdity become forever ingrained in your brain--- I brewed up some freshly ground beans from the Daily Grind to which i had added a sprinking of cinnamon and one frozen Hershey's Kiss from my freezer, yep, right into that cute little whilry blade grinder it all went! And the there it is!
Weird? Perhaps! Tasty--um, yeah!!!
SO come on folks, let's hear YOUR coffee combo stories! WE won't judge you harshly...and maybe you will inspire us right into some new coffee adventure!
Black, black, black ... only black!

I take it with cream and sugar substitue because I drink far too many coffees a day - I am an addict and cannot live without coffee and sigarets, even though I tried to stop with sigarettes gazzillion times... Love your blog :)

Nearly always with International Delight creamer. Once in awhile I haul out the espresso machine and make lattes, but even then there must be flavoring and creamy sweetness.
ReplyDeleteBesides, black coffee trashes my tummy and I'm not willing to give up my last vice.
For my first pot of the morning, totally black. The second pot; fresh ground beans with Mexican Chocolate, a dab of splenda and a cinnamon stick in the basket.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how I am having it. If I am having espresso, made in my stovetop espresso machine, which is my usual way, I either have it black, or with a little foamed milk (skim). If I am having drip, I usualy put a little milk in, sometimes maple syrup if I am feeling extra naughty. But I rarely use sugar. Unless of course I am making Greek Coffee (Frappe) then I like it light and sweet. Ah coffee, so many ways, so little time.
